Dear Friends,

Canadians played a major role in the founding of Bar-Ilan and can take great pride that since its inception, Bar-Ilan University has played a meaningful role in educating the scientists and scholars who have made and continue to make an important mark on all aspects of Israel's progress and growth. Through the remarkable work being carried out in the fields of exact and life sciences, business, law and Jewish studies, the excellence achieved at Bar-Ilan University has led the way to help build, enrich and secure a strong Israel.

We here in Canada can be proud of our numerous contributions. The Begin-Sadat (BESA) Center for Strategic Studies, The Dafna Izraeli Center for Gender & Women’s Studies, The Martin (Susz) Land of Israel Studies Department, The Arnold and Leona Finkler Hall for Human Rights, The Norman and Johanne Sternthal Torat Eretz Yisrael Program and the Gabi and Louis Weisfeld School of Social Work are just a few of the many contributions that Canada has made to make Bar-Ilan the institution it is today.
